landscape design
Every creative, sustainable landscape that we design starts with a client interview, during which we ask you questions and answer yours. Then, we take a site and plant inventory, measuring all buildings and existing landscape features and taking note of all major plants. Our analysis includes an inventory of assets and liabilities, your preferences and requirements, and design recommendations.
We take care of all the technicalities, such as a building department check--determining local codes, easements, and other restrictions on the property, and then draw a base map showing residence and other buildings, property lines, north arrow, and utilities.
With this information, we’ll create a unique design (keeping in mind your desired level of upkeep and home architecture and design) and present to you a plan of the overall design, including sketches and photos as needed. The plan will include the layout of softscape and hardscape areas, placement and identification of plants, and indication of location and type of low-voltage light fixtures. We will also provide recommendations for hardscape, key plants, and color palette; a list of materials needed; and a plant list for easy shopping.
We will work with you along the way to obtain your feedback and accommodate any agreed-upon change, and use this information to prepare an estimate for installation.
